Coachman's Legacy

Quality Horse-Drawn Carriages, Servicing Massachusetts

Welcome to the new page for Coachman's Legacy at Achorn Acres Farm.  Due to technicall dificulities the page was shut down, and we have moved our page to our old carriage busines page.

As we are preparing for summer horse program in the midst of a pandemic, we wanted to take the time to let you know some of the safety precautions that we will have in place for running our program. Camp counselors will be wearing masks. Use of Masks for campers is not required, but strongly recommended, especially for when we will be working in the barn. Students will not be required to wear a mask while mounted on horseback as the nature of being on a horse will provide adequate social distancing. Surfaces will be wiped down frequently and we will have sanitizer for the port-a-potty for after each use as well as a sink for handwashing and bottles of hand sanitizer. Mass department of agriculture has provided us with some guidelines and are requiring that students not share equipment. We will be making an effort to provide a set of brushes for each student to use for the week and we will have students engage in more frequent handwashing. As we often loan helmets to students, we are encouraging campers to bring their own helmets when able. If a loaner helmet is required, we will be assigning a helmet to each student to use for the week. As a result of enrollment and group sizes, we will be restructuring the schedule. We have combined all of the weeks and moved them to run during the week of July 13-16 and Barn buddies July 17. We will honor all registrations we had previously received for the week of the 13th, however, we are closing our own registration with the exception of those who are enrolling through Westborough Recreation Department. As we get closer to the date, we may ask for volunteers to stagger drop off and pick up times to minimize the number of people at the barn at one time.
